April Sursum Corda Moments …
For as long as I can remember anxiety prevented me from visiting my family in Mexico. The thought of traveling over the bridge from the Rio Grande Valley paralyzed me. This was a big cross my family and I had to bear. I wanted my parents to meet their grandchildren and I longed to be with my family for reunions.
And then the traveling shrine came to our home. I can honestly say that welcoming Our Lady to our house and praying to her daily changed our family. And not only that, but after a while I felt ready, although still reluctant, to cross the bridge to my homeland. This was a real sursum corda moment for my family and me!
